Meghan Markle has released a statement following her appearance at a Thanksgiving event last week, sans husband Prince Harry.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are reportedly in the midst of a professional separation, with reports suggesting that their work relationship is “in a very bad state.”
Indeed, over the last few months both the “Suits” alum, 43, and Harry, 40, have been seen attending various events solo.

Markle recently hosted an intimate dinner for the Southern California Welcome Project through the Sussexes’ Archewell Foundation.
Her husband, however, did not attend the event.
The former actress has since shared a statement on their Archewell website following the Thanksgiving event, in which she opened up about the “heartfelt dinner” she threw for Afghan women with their partner organization, Mina’s List.
“This initiative has spent the past year building community through storytelling and creating a safe space for women who have resettled in the US from Afghanistan,” the statement read.
“The evening included a shared meal that encouraged open conversation centered on gratitude and resilience.”
Markle “expressed her deep appreciation to the attendees for sharing their personal stories and cultural experiences,” the statement went on, adding that she plans to host future gatherings.
“The dinner was hosted at Our Place, founded by Shiza Shahid, where the participants were gifted with new cookware for the upcoming holiday season,” Markle’s statement shared.
The duchess “remains committed to uplifting women and fostering community through shared experiences, reinforcing the importance of unity and support during challenging times,” it concludes.
It comes as Harry last week attended a string of Invictus Games-related events in Vancouver while Markle was seen joining her celebrity pals at a beauty launch event sans her husband.
The pair did, however, appear in a joint video in honor of Veteran’s Day earlier this month — with Harry admitting the pair had been “at a crossroads” with work in recent weeks.
In their joint video appearance, the pair discussed prioritizing children’s safety online through their Archewell Foundation. It was the first time they were seen together in months.
The duo are expected to attend the 2025 Invictus Games in Canada, which will take place from Feb. 8 to Feb. 16. The event comes 18 months after the 2023 event held in Germany.
At last year’s games, Markle hinted that their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, may make an appearance at the next event.
