Lip reader reveals emotional six-word comment Prince Louis made to Kate Middleton during recent appearance

A lip reader has shared the touching six-word exchange Prince Louis had with Kate Middleton during a recent family outing.

On December 6, the Princess of Wales hosted her fourth annual Together at Christmas concert at Westminster Abbey in London. Attending alongside her husband Prince William, Kate was joined by their three children: Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and six-year-old Prince Louis.

The event, a collaboration between The Royal Foundation and BBC Studios Events Productions, featured performances by the Westminster Abbey Choir, Paloma Faith, Gregory Porter, JP Cooper, and Olivia Dean. Blending traditional and modern elements, the concert aimed to resonate with people of all faiths and backgrounds.

Ahead of the service, Kate, a mother of three, shared her thoughts on the meaning of Christmas.

“Christmas is one of my favourite times of the year,” she said. “It is a time for presents, tinsel, and mince pies, but it’s also a time to slow down and reflect on the deeper things that connect us all. It is when we stop and take ourselves away from the pressures of daily life that we find the space to live our lives with an open heart, with love, kindness, and forgiveness—so much of what the Christmas spirit is all about.”

She continued: “The Christmas story encourages us to consider the experiences and feelings of others. It also reflects our own vulnerabilities and reminds us of the importance of giving and receiving empathy, as well as just how much we need each other in spite of our differences.”

The concert aired on ITV on Christmas Eve, and a clip of Kate and Prince Louis shared on social media caught public attention. In the footage, Kate smiles down at Louis, who reportedly tells her, “We’re looking out for each other,” according to lip reader Nicola Hickling.

The Together at Christmas concert marked Kate’s first major return to royal duties after a challenging year. Earlier in 2023, she revealed her diagnosis with cancer, which led to months of chemotherapy.

In September, Kate announced she was cancer-free. Reflecting on her journey in a heartfelt statement, she said:

“The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant, and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown.

“The cancer journey is complex, scary, and unpredictable for everyone, especially those closest to you. With humility, it also brings you face to face with your own vulnerabilities in a way you have never considered before, and with that, a new perspective on everything.”

She added: “This time has above all reminded William and me to reflect and be grateful for the simple yet important things in life, which so many of us often take for granted. Of simply loving and being loved.

“Although I have finished chemotherapy, my path to healing and full recovery is long, and I must continue to take each day as it comes.”

Looking forward, Kate expressed her optimism: “I am, however, looking forward to being back at work and undertaking a few more public engagements in the coming months when I can. Despite all that has gone before, I enter this new phase of recovery with a renewed sense of hope and appreciation for life.”

Prince Louis’s sweet words to his mother during the carol service are a heartwarming reminder of the bond they share and the resilience of their family during a challenging year.
